3d in art
Strangly enough, though it was not developed for this reason, many artists
use 3d as production method for their pieces.
The render times might be long on some pics, but by far not as long as if you had to paint them.
On average i would say i work about 3-5 hours on a picture, that is if i dont have to devolop a lot of new geometry for it.
This is a mighty advantage towards the conventional "painter" who would have to repaint everything, of he is not pleased.

The 3d artist just rearranges the scene and lets the computer do the work
Most 3d art doesnt deal with animations, but there are some artists that do, ( I dont).
I have though , produced a fiew works which i consider "artistic".
